Welcome to Leaftin. By accessing or using our platform — whether through the mobile app or website — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Who We Are

Leaftin is a digital bookstore platform that connects readers with authors and publishers across Nigeria and Africa. We provide tools for buying, reading, uploading, and selling digital books (eBooks).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Leaftin. By creating an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You must not share your account or allow others to access it.
• Leaftin reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• You may have one account per person. Multiple accounts for the same individual are not permitted.

4. Buyer Terms

When you purchase a book on Leaftin:

• You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read that book for personal use only.
• You may not share, resell, redistribute, or copy the book content.
• Purchases are final. Refunds are only issued at Leaftin's discretion in cases of technical failure or duplicate charges.
• Your purchased books are available in your library indefinitely, subject to the platform remaining operational.

5. Seller / Author Terms

• You must own the rights to any book you upload, or have explicit written permission from the rights holder.
• You may not upload plagiarised, stolen, or copyrighted content you do not own.
• Leaftin reserves the right to remove any book that violates our content policy without prior notice.
• Earnings are paid out upon withdrawal request, subject to a minimum of ₦1,000 and admin review within 24–48 hours.
• You are responsible for declaring and paying any applicable taxes on your earnings.

6. Prohibited Content

You must not upload or distribute content that:

• Infringes on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property right
• Contains explicit sexual material, especially involving minors
• Promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity
• Is defamatory, harassing, or abusive towards any individual or group
• Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Is misleading, fraudulent, or designed to deceive buyers

7. Payments

All payments are processed by Flutterwave, a third-party payment provider. By making a purchase, you also agree to Flutterwave's terms of service. Leaftin does not store your card details.

All prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦). Leaftin is not responsible for currency conversion fees charged by your bank.

8. Intellectual Property

The Leaftin name, logo, design, and platform code are the intellectual property of Leaftin. You may not use them without written permission. Content uploaded by sellers remains the property of the respective author or rights holder.

9. Limitation of Liability

Leaftin provides its platform on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leaftin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

Leaftin may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
